Hannibal is from modern day Tunisha, his father was a Carthaginian leader. Hannibal is globally known as one of the gifted military leaders of all time and was known as the “father of strategy.” He caused terror to the Roman community. His legacy was documented by his Greek mentor and is so loved by the Romans they built statues of Hannibal in the streets he conquered.

I don't know why you say the Romans "loved" Hannibal; he attempted to invade Rome itself. After he failed, the extremely pissed-off Roman Emperor (Julius Caesar) led an invasion fleet across the Mediterranean and completely destroyed Carthage - even salting the surrounding fields so nothing would grow. There is nothing in Tunisia today to indicate there was ever a city there and there are no streets named after Hannibal anywhere in that country.

Since Hannibal died about 180 BC, I hardly think Julius Caesar had anything to do with his death or the defeat of Carthage. Scipio Africanus is the man that did in Carthage.

Thanks. My historical memory has faded a wee bit.
