Oustanding, Mike. That is a Cormorant, though. Not an Anhinga. The Pintail shots are really nice.

Excellent work, Mike! You can tell a Cormorant from an Anhinga by the beak. The Cormorant has a hook and the Anhinga's beak is pointed. I often mistake them swimming and don't realize which it is until I download the pictures.

You caught some beautiful light in many of these. Nice reflection, too.

Thanks, Ken, I can not remember which one has the straight beak. Te new auto-track is responsible for the pintail shots.

I appreciate the information and kind words, Carol. As always, good light makes for good photos.

Good work Mike. Very nice lighting on the Cormorant. My favorite of them all.

I am happy you liked it. Shooting into the sun presents a challenge.

You are correct there! Trying to meter for the shaded and bright portions of the shot can be a real challenge. I always try to just get the meter as far to the right as I know the camera will let me without clipping the bright parts. Then I do the corrections in DXO to bring out the detail and colors.

Nice, Mike. Those pintails are beautiful, elegant birds aren't they?
