Mom took off for parts unknown ( at least to Junior) and hes been waiting an hour or more.
He saw the cat and wanted to play, but Princess had other ideas.
Well maybe i will stand around the other side of this big tree and wait.
He didn't have to wait to long, he heard her coming or perhaps calling to him. she crossed the road and that's all he had to see, he broke into a run for his mom.
Told to stay put!
Mom in the road looking for him
I'm coming Mom!
Good shots and well spotted.

Marilyn, your shots of these Deer, get better all the time. Getting to know what they do, awesome. Mom must rule the roost pretty darn good. Sammy doesn't listen that good.:) Beautiful shots!!!

Thank you ,Erv.
I think one gets to know what they think and how they are going to react, when you are with them enough.
It holds true with any animal.
I bet you can almost read Sammys mind most of the time.I know i can with my cats.
I should had chopped them tighter, But I wanted to show the area he was in when he saw his mom.
Did his ears perk up fast.
The doe's seem to rule the roost most of the time, until the bucks grow a full set of antlers. Then they know to keep their distance.
Mom Doe chased off the one buck this morning, she does not play games with any of them.
Gotta think its the pecking order that comes in with age.
Glad you enjoy them.
Beautiful shots, I love the clarity and color! You really did an excellent job on this.

Thank you, Molly.
Yes, I am very lucky indeed.
:)
There's not much difference in this house, the doe seems to rule the roost.
Those shots certainly tell a story. They are sharp and the composition isn't that bad either. Great work.
