Dead men don't hire a sleazy lawyer and sue you. The point made is that if you come into my house uninvited I will kill you. If anyone breaks into my house I will go for a head shot because I want the SOB dead.

Talk is cheap! You might want to put some more thought into this blustering.
Killing somebody, even a burglar, might, and probably will, cost you more than he will have stolen, and no end of hassles, emotional and legal as well as financial. Even dead men have relatives with lawyers. It doesn't even matter if you were justified legally. It will still be very expensive.

If he is inside my house I can safely assume that my life as well as those of my family are in danger. I don’t have time to wait for the cops to show up. You can if you wish. Where I grew up people have been shot while peeping in windows.

Geez! After the perpetrator sees the mat, I doubt he would even enter the building making any need to sue void. Like telling them you have an alarm system or not-too-friendly dog.
