Cove Methodist Church org 1872 near Chickamauga, Jawja
Chickamauga was second only to Gettysburg as the deadliest of battlefields during the Civil War. Still today trees are not harvested from the battlefield forest because the amount of lead embedded in them will ruin any sawmill saw blade. Cove Church was built well before the the period of reconstruction had began by a community that suffered exceptional destruction followed by total defeat and a collapsed economy. This is building where they chose to begin again. Hope you will like em.
