Early Morning Lighthouse shot.

Normally I would bracket a shot like this but wanted to see what my new camera was like when pushed a bit. EC of -3.3 to keep most of the highlights (but not all) which left a fair amount of lifting the shadows. The camera seems to handle that situation quite well.

Download show excellent detail and the lighting didn't seem to cause any problems. Very nice shot.

Thank you Carol. The area round the sun was just a bit too much for the sensor but I just cropped most of it out.

Not bad. Does the Z5 have an HDR setting? I use that quite a bit on my Nikons when shooting into the sun.

Thanks. Yes it has an HDR mode but it saves in jpg only, so I prefer to use bracketing.

Thank you Mike. It's a very forgiving camera so maybe it's the Z5 making me look good .
