Two thoughts: First, work on compositions; second, pick a more interesting sport.

(Sorry--to me, watching soccer is like watching grass grow, even the artificial kind. )

For the exposure settings, if you shoot in Shutter Priority, the camera dynamically picks the aperture.

For the exposure settings, if you shoot in Aperture Priority, the camera dynamically picks the shutter.

Have you analyzed the EXIF data of all these posted images? Most are shot in Shutter Priority at 1/500 sec, but not all of them. One is at Aperture priority. All of this data is readily available in the images for review and analysis. If the shutter speed is changing unexpectedly or the shooting mode, you need to consider how you're handling the camera and why you're making these unintended changes.

As the light changes, due to time of day and / or clouds moving across the sky, the camera dynamically adjusts the exposure settings. If you want exactly the same aperture and shutter for every image, you have to set both those settings in Manual.

Topaz Products AI used to process the pic with "Auto" selected for all processes.
I have no idea what the camera was "set to".
I'm sorry that I wasn't too clear.

If you look at the EXIF, you'll see in this bright light that you probably couldn't do both 1/500 & f/2.8 without overexposing the image.

Take the first image of players 7, 8 and 4. In shutter priority, you set the shutter to 1/500 sec. You set the ISO to ISO-200. The camera responded by selection f/5. If the ISO has been 1-stop lower to ISO-100, the camera would have responded by opening the aperture by 1-stop to f/3.5. Forcing the aperture wider in Manual will likely begin to create ugly over-exposed images.

Also, opening the aperture wider will give you less depth of field. This first image of players 7, 8 and 4 has the two players closest to the ball in good focus. That is a better composition than just a single player in sharp focus. Why the desire for f/2.8 in this outdoor daylight sports situation?

When you say 'bad', what do you mean? Please be descriptive in your response.

Grainy? That's not what I'm seeing for this set of images, all shot at ISO-100 to ISO-200. Are you looking at others not posted here?

When you look at the EXIF data of these images, can you comment on:

a) Why not using AUTO ISO?

b) Why not using Evaluative Metering?

c) Have you considered using Exposure Compensation?

d) Have you considered adjusting the saturation, contrast and sharpening of the Standard Picture Profile?

e) When you look at some of the sharpness and subject movement in the fast action details of each image, have you considered why 1/500 sec in this daylight setting instead of say 1/1000 sec?
