We were at McDonald’s the other day, eating a sandwich and this guy showed up out of nowhere, waiting for a french fry or other tidbit to be tossed his way. He just patiently sat there in front of our car, which is why I deliberately left the hood of the car in the shot. It was taken through the windshield with my iPhone 11. These ravens are funny guys.

Nice shot of that noble character!
I agree: those ravens are coming to be recognized as highly intelligent birds, along with other members of the crow family. This quietly begging behavior can be momentarily energized when they come to recognize individuals who have previously tossed them a French fry or other food item. Interesting and amazing kritters!
