Good Morning
Just an FYI, Both Denoise and Sharpen have been updated.
The processing is much faster now.

Topaz does regular updates and they always work well. These two software are among my favorites.

The quality of Denoise 3.02, especially the low light feature, is also significantly better then Denoise 2. When comparing around 50 images between it and my current standard, DXO's DeepPRIME NR, for most of them Denoise 3 was now much closer to the overall output quality of DeepPRIME, for some images its just as good, and for a few it was even better. Denoise 3 is quite an improvement over Denoise 2. DeepPRIME easily bested Denoise 2 almost 100% of the time but Denoise 3 is very close to being as good as DeepPRIME most of the time. The main issue with Topaz seems to be a greater number of artifacts and loss of fine detail depending on the image. The advantage of Topaz, of course, is that it is a standalone product and works on multiple file formats while DeepPRIME is a feature within DXO PhotoLab and can only be applied to native raw files. Impressive update.

Having taken advantage recently off a Topaz bunch for sale, I am wondering if there is a good YouTube on the best access placement of the different the individual programs with my Adobe 2021 set on my Apple IMAC. I see the Topaz after download in Applications, but wish for easy access.

Thank you,
Bruce

I watched a video by Anthony Morganty reviewing the new release. He said it is way faster but is not as good as the previous version on noise.

Actually what he said was that the Low Light module wasn't an improvement but the Normal mode and Clear modes were unchanged and he didn't often use the Low Light mode. It was an admittedly quick and dirty comparison and I expect one of two things to happen; he will evaluate it more fully to see if he was getting out of it what he should or Topaz will quickly update this version with corrections. Both Morganti and Topaz are are quality efforts.

The updated Topaz De-Noise AI does process things much faster which is a great improvement. I did find when I first used it with the same settings I used before, I was very disappointed to find virtually no apparent noise reduction and on my bird pictures it had very adverse impacts on their eyes, either diminishing colors or wiping out the details, to the point where the eyes were almost invisible. Obviously this caused some major initial concern. Experimenting with the settings I found the culprit to be my previous settings for Reduce Noise and Recover Original Detail were set too high. Reducing both significantly yielded the results I was expecting and had seen with previous version. I discovered this when using the split screen (before and after) preview function. As I changed my settings the After image would change, and I found the higher the value for Recover Original Detail the more noise was evident as it seemed to treat the noise as detail. My point is that you may have to tweak your previous settings to get all the benefits of the new AI engine in the updated version.

I was born and raised in Paso Robles so I thought I would say hi. My experience is different on a mac. Denoise is quite a bit slower and Sharpen crashes every time I try to use it. Just another case of Topaz using us as beta testers. As a software guy, they have the worst QA in the marketplace.

I've asked their help to give links to the prior versions which at least worked

The updates don't work on my computer. I tried them and I had to delete the program and reinstall it.
The tech that I was working with suggests that it is because I have an older computer. He said that I should wait for an upgrade that works with older computers.
I was going to try Sharpen, but I don't know now.
