Can't believe she's still here with us...she's in plane view and we have lots of Honeyeaters which are one of her mortal enemies...
They fly past her all day...I know she's only about 25mm long but that's a nice size for a Honeyeater's lunch...
A couple of side views I got yesterday...been raining all morning but she doesn't seem phased by it..
If you look close, you can see a strand of web coming from her spinneret...
D500
Sigma 150m macro
Hand held...(no choice, it was the only way I could get into the bush...

Thanks for looking David...
Nice captures. The saga continues. She is beautiful and long may she escape the honeyeaters.

Thanks Jack...we had one in the garden a few years ago and she only lasted a few days...
Very nice, Ron. I assume she is not deadly poisonous like a lot of things down under?

No she's not Ken, our poisonous "things" are way over exaggerated. Pretty much all spiders are poisonous to a degree but are not harmful to humans. We only have about two really dangerous ones, the Red Back and the Funnel Web. The Red Back has a nasty bite but won't kill you but the Funnel Web, only found near Sydney is the bad one. Apart from in Zoos and wild life parks, I've never ever seen any of the poisonous snakes you might keep hearing about either... the Orb Weavers are evidently very loath to bite you anyway, it's just not in their nature. In my whole life I've never seen a snake in Adelaide or surrounds. So if you want to come on down, I can guarantee you'll be safe...
