Nikon Z 24-200 Found!

I initially posted that I wanted to purchase this lens from a 'local dealer' and not a big box store like Best Buy. I must have called at least 10 dealers, most recommended from UHH. No luck. Anyone I spoke with could not have been nicer!
I downloaded the most recent Nikon Authorized Dealers list and looked for NPD dealers, away from the big cities. One called this morning is Gene's Camera Store in South Bend, Ind.
Not only did they have one..but three in stock. And, I asked them to open them up to see if one of them was an 'older item' and had the Extended Warranty. They were kind enough to open them up and found that one of two opened did have the extended warranty! The other one was shipped after January 1st and had the new Nikon 1 year warranty.
I should have the lens in 3 days.
Jeff helped me and was great. Jack and his wife own the business. Gene no longer around, but the business started in 1939. I can't be more pleased with their service (and supply).
If you want a Z 24-200..give them at call.
And, if you want anything else...give them a call.

That's a gratifying story to hear.
I'll keep them in mind.

I wonder if they have a Nikon ES 2 copier. Everyone seems to have them on backorder.

I got my 24-200 last fall. It caused me to sell the 24-70 that came with my Z6. About the same size, weight, and image quality...with much extended zoom range.

Got the 14-30 in January (with 5 year warranty). It plus above are what I’ll use 99% of time on Z6.

I found a better solution than the ES 2 copier: a $20 LED light table. You need a macro lens for either approach and I have 105...which doesn’t work with ES 2. But works great with light table vertical and slides in front of it...camera on a couple of books.
