Or at least south for the winter. Same goose shot, different frame on the rapid fire. Sky replacement, since it was heavily overcast and the orginal sky was plain white.

I like your title, Frank. It has a soaring feeling like your photo. So, this is a composite of two shots of the goose and one for the sky! Looks very smooth to me. That’s a smart way to get two geese in focus in one shot. Well done!

Thanks Carol. I had 4 or 5 in the Sequence so the nice thing they all had the same bland sky. For me I considered that a plus. Made the sky replacement easy. No need for me to use the sky replacement that is now found in PS.

It's begging to add a moon, no?

Perhaps, but I don’t recall ever seeing geese flying at night. Much like the song title I don’t believe anyone was really flying to the moon. These geese only had high expectations.

Just a suggestion. The moon is visible in the early morning. I have used it in daylight compositions many times.

Really nice capture and PP. I think the shot would be good even with out the sky replacement. I usually use Luminar 4 for sky replacement just because it's so quick and easy.

Thanks for the reminder. I have seen the moon in the early morning. But forgot about that. So the geese could be in flight at that time,

Thanks Jack. It was so overcast it was just a white sky. I felt it needed something.
To wipe out the white it used multiply in PS blend it.
