Hook, line, and...

We had one same thing last month , he ended up getting the hook caught in its mouth.
Then eventually got snagged in a tree.
CROW on the island fixed him up.
also had a cormorant that did the same thing , after about an hour he got himself unhooked.
All that happened in Ding Darling

Yikes! A hook involved is not a good thing for that Osprey to be dealing with. Great photos.

Ding Darling is such a wonderful park. I also thought of how the have the receptacles for disposal of the monofilament lines.
