That is probably no different than any other large company since COVID they have found they do not need as many people as they had and many can work from home.

Scared me for a minute.
From the title I took NPS as National Park Service and couldn't figure the connection in the post.

(I've never needed any personal service from any camera manufacturer.)

Check any major hotel chain. they laid off 70% of Global Sales and 60% of onsite hotel staff. Marriott and Hilton still existing, just fine. Zoom and online sales orders mean they don't need as many field reps.

BTW, I showed your article to my D500, Z6 and Z7 and they all still took a photo.

Sure glad I stuck with their free version and didn't give in to temptation and go with the paid option!

National Park Service: That would be a loss!

I was an NPS member. Got a loaner Nikon D500 for evaluation when I was thinking about getting a couple for the university I worked for. Other than that, never had issues with our Nikon equipment. The other staffer and I used Nikon gear. The Canon equipment was a different story. Had 10 (or 12) kits the students checked out to use. There were always issues, but not because of the cameras. Canon repair service was always very good.
