This is such a great forum for information! Ihave been searching to find a genuine spare battery for my Pan. Lumix FZ-200: called all the shops and got the same answer: the Panasonic factory got flooded, ergo, no batteries available. I was about to start a new topic to ask whether any of you people buy or use compatible batteries but today there was already a discussion just started on this topic, and one of you said that he always used Amazon to buy compatibles, because of their good after-sales service. So I went onto Amazon and lo and behold! They had 4 genuine batteries available! :-D Thanks everyone, you are such helpful and knowledgeable people. Sarah

Thanks, Don, but I already bought 2 from Amazon this morning. Two is probably one more than I need, but we are going to the Galapagos Islands in 10 days' time, and better safe than sorry!

I think that www.batteries+.com sells a wide variety of batteries.
Not sure about outside of USA though.
