A few snow geese this morning...
(few thousand, that is. Awesome sight!)
Be sure to download and zoom!
PS: this might fill my quota for BIFs this year!
Bet if you try real hard you might find a Ross' Goose in that flock. Nice capture

And then there are greater and lesser snow geese. The only thing I know is that there were a lot of them!
BTW taken w Nikon Z50 and Z 50-250, M mode, 1/1000 s, min fstop, auto ISO. Near the Snake River in SW Idaho, near Mountain Home. They were kind enough to remain on the ground till I stopped the RV, got my camera, and got out of the RV.
Four jets flew by just as this massive take-off happened. Hopefully didn't hit any!
You got a great shot. Even zoomed in there is a lot of detail!
Very nice. Gumbo on the wing.
Just a few! Growing up on the Chesapeake Bay, I have seen my share of "lift-offs" like this. Nice shot, Larry. Cover your head.
Wow - now that's an amazing shot!!!
Cool shot! Looks like around here immediately after the farmers have harvested soybeans. Mega flocks of Canada geese follow the harvest and swoop down for the feast. Northern Illinois has a nuisance goose season. "Nuisance" does not begin to describe the situation. Wish the state would use those rocket launched nets and grab a few hundred at a time and ship they far, far away.
