The leaves are thick and have a distinct upper
(chlorophyll cell) layer and a more complex dark
lower layer. You can see the active cell organelles
moving about inside the cell walls.
It bears thousands of hair-like projections which
look like fine jewels under the microscope.
Very interesting, I wish I had thought to look at one of these leaves in my Botany class. so much to see. Life-threatening to have taken one of my Dad's plants, let alone have removed a leaf. Amazing video, thanks for sharing the link.
