I have bought several items from Aliexpress with great luck but I have never bought anything camera related except new batteries for my Canon t1i that were better than the ones that came with my camera. I now see adds selling used cameras and lenses. I see the prices are great and I wonder if anyone has purchased any camera items.

If I were you I would buy from dealers like Roberts Camera, MPB, Adorama, KEH and B&H Photo. Those are all reputable dealers with an excellent customer service.

Alliexpres is a worldwide Chinese wholesaler who provides retailers with Chinese products and knockoffs. I personally wouldn't buy anything without expectations of poor customer service and product quality. You probably will have someone on this forum who had success with them, but I think that may be the exception and not the rule.

I've bought lots of used gear, but I wouldn't buy used from Ali. It's too far away, and if you have a problem, it's too far away. Maybe that isn't a real concern, but it would be a concern for me.

I usually buy privately from buyers I find online, almost exclusively on Kijiji. I have the D7000, D7500,
Nikon 200-500 and numerous other lenses that I found there. I have never regretted one of my purchases and
have never had a problem with anything.
I should add that I always buy in person after inspection. I am only about an hour away from a large Kijiji market.

I’ve bought or sold used from MPB on multiple occasions and can easily recommend them. I shoot Canon so their refurb store is another shopping spot, as well.

Thank you. I haven't even heard of MPB until I read it on the Ugly hedgehog but one of the things I am looking at is a used Canon camera and the one from Aliexpress is about $40 less than the "Same camera" from MPB. I never paid any attention about the shutter count and MPB's has a low shutter while I don't have a clue about other one so after reading all your comments and other sources I decided I will pay the little extra and go with MPB. I will say I have had very good luck with buying new fishing equipment through Aliexpress but I have never purchased anything used from them. I don't sell pictures or get paid to take them, I just like the challenge and signed up with Ugly hedgehog mainly to see pictures and get ideas but I am getting so much more thanks to all the good people out there who give their honest opinions. Thank you, everyone.
