Well said my friend. At 75 I am still trying to, Get There, but may not make it. However I have no grudge against those who are there. I don't even have a problem with those who were born, There. These days of the Democratic insistence that we are all equal those same people forget that the e******y comes from Equal Opportunity. Our Founding Fathers never meant nor did they expect an America would one day mean every person in the country would be rich. But we were all given equal opportunity so we could become rich or at least work toward that direction.

Those ideas of the Founding Fathers still ring true today. People who come to America today from wh**ever country they left behind STILL have the opportunity of working hard and getting rich. It happens every day. But as I said earlier we still have a number of people in America of all colors who expect those riches to come pouring in without any output of work or education on their part. It ain't going to happen. Yet Democrats push the point with every e******n. It is a lie every e******n.

Reading your post back to kmg9v made me think of the poor people in America who are also white, not necessarily educated and not necessarily employed.

I can’t help but think what they would say to kmg9v if they read his post. I can imagine one hell of a lot of pissed off people wondering where the hell their white privilege went. For me this is one more indicator of the inability of the Left to be logical and use common sense. It is also proof the left brings up this BS only to push their agenda by constantly reviving r****m.

What about the rich black people? What about the rich WHITE people like Pelosi and Schumer. What about the run of the mill white people who have worked their asses off to keep a job, have a nice home and send their kids to college. If those people have white privilege they earned it. But what about middle class b****s, Hispanics, Native Americans and so on who are exact like the privileged w****s. Don’t those people in the same economic level have the very same privilege as the Left says w****s do? Yet the onus is only on w****s. And your point is? The constitution laid the principles that lead to the current laws that we have today. Let's be honest, the founders did not bring s***ery to this country, they inherited it and in time our country abolished it. It was 1983. I had recently quit a job working at a defense contractor making navy sonar for their ASW (anti Submarine Warfare division. I left to go to a union job making pressure industrial t***sducers. However, their business was cyclical and I and a friend of mine were hired on the down cycle and laid off 3 months later. The Marine barracks had been bombed in Beirut only a few weeks earlier and there was the whole registering for the draft thing going on at the time. It looked like war could breakout.

I looked around for a job but there was a recession going on and entry level spots were scarce. I applied to a photography company that developed film. I managed to get an interview only to be told by the owner (a woman) that they normally hired only women. Sounds a bit like sexual discrimination. She womansplained to me that women have better manual dexterity...nimble fingers and all that. Turns out that little nugget is true. I was wondering to myself whey she bothered to have me in for the interview but as the news cycle was pushing for the US to engage in the Middle East I told her flat out that she was afraid of hiring men because they can be called off to war. It's safe to say I didn't get the job and I also was never called off to war but I did get a taste of work discrimination.

These days I qualify as deaf/HOH. "White privilege" doesn't protect me from discrimination on that either. I am pretty well convinced that "white privilege" is just another bullsh!t term dreamed up by rich people that feel guilty about their luck. I recall my HS physics professor who dropped this little nugget on me..."Even the poorest person in America is better off than 90% of the rest of the world".

So I say to you, it is a privilege to live here in the USA. So much so that people are willing to walk thousands of miles in the heat, in the rain, with nothing they cannot carry on their backs just to hope to get in. If you have American citizenship then you are among the blessed 5%.
