Trying to marshall the resources of UHHers. I've checked the East Coast big guys-and my other local dealers (NY Metro Area). Also tried Hunts and Allens. I can get it from Best Buy, but I would rather get it from a 'local' dealer anywhere in the USA--SYLD (Support Your Local Dealer).
Any of your local dealers have this lens?

I just got mine delivered from Hunts today. They are “local” when we spend time in the Boston area, so I try to buy from them even when we are not there. I did have to wait for a number of weeks. They told me on the phone that these lenses come in in small numbers, not big shipments, and get doled out to those who have ordered them.

Yes, thanks. I'm trying to get lucky and find one when not on a list. I put myself on their Notify list.

I tried all my local dealers and other out of town dealers and the usual NY suspects, (B&H and Adorama) and ended up having to go with Best Buy.

So far..no luck-sort of.
One dealer was willing to separate the Z5/Z24-200 kit and sell the lens. I would have done this if the kit lens was packaged in it's own 'white' box (as was my Z24-70 when I bought my Z6). Not done like that.
Another dealer was willing to put me on their list (of which there were none on the list), if I gave them a $200 deposit. Don't think so.
And another, couldn't have been nicer. Giving props PictureLine in Salt Lake City--Darby and Max followed up after a call with their Nikon rep and Nikon-- and will call me when they receive the lens in April--or sooner. And, Brad of Berger Bros. is also looking out for me. I'll wait for a local dealer before I go to Best Buy.

I've been trying to find this lens for over a month now. I am on the waiting list with Adorama and BH. Our two local camera stores (Mpls/stPaul) are also out of stock. Anybody know of a reputable dealer where I can find one? I'm a little suspicious of Best Buy since no one seems to have one but them!

I've purchased from Best Buy before, in fact many times. And have no issue buying a Nikon product from them. But, I want to patronize local dealers and am prepared to wait. If I were in a rush, I would buy from BB.

Update..not to be too redundant as I just posted Z 24-200 Found!
Big shout out to Gene's Camera Store of South Bend, IN. Not just one copy but 3! And, I got one with the 4 year extended warranty.
Can't wait to get it.
