Do not limit yourself to New York. There are others as well known, but not in New York. I've done business with ProCam based out of Chicago/Detroit. Last year when no one in New York had the Nikon 500mm F/5.6 and it was n back order, ProCam had 3 of them in stock...(www.procam.com)....Roberts Camera is another quality camera shop for new bodies/lenses.

An important addendum. B&H, for one, has a PayBoo card that rebates sales tax which can represent a couple of hundred savings on a large purchase. Easy to get and B&H does no even push it for any use than helping on sales tax issues.

Check Nikon, I got my D7100 from them. It was a refurbished body only. Saved money and worked for years till I traded it for my D500. For used, I have been very happy with my 200-500 lens from MPB.
