I’m in a condo on the water. Not among the great undereducated. I’m one of three American-born Caucasians in my complex of 27 waterfront condos.

I loved Florida but that was back in the early 70s, have not been since. Lived in Florida City and Fort Walton Beach while stationed there by Uncle Sam. I am guessing that in those days the Cuban Refugee population was no where near what it is today so I am assuming South Florida has a different identity now.

Condos on the water can become empty lots quickly in a hurricane, I have weathered many being from New Orleans, still a nice place to visit but safer to be from.

We have eradicated the Old South from most of south Florida, it’s a more cosmopolitan area now, less good old boys is always a good thing.

Take it from a New Yorker, we h**e seeing our tax dollars keep those pesky red states afloat.
Did you know that 32.8% of Florida's annual budget comes from federal aid?
Did you know that New York only gets 90 cents back for every dollar they pay in federal tax?
So that you're clear. New York keeps Florida afloat so if a minuscule amount of your tax dollars go to New York, just get over it. You're still receiving more than you pay.

NY gets 90 cents per dollar back from the Fed. Govt? That's outrageous! Most states get far less than that.

Just in your mind were you thinking that monies that are taxed from the people sent through the government and redistributed back to the states should still come out to be 100% of the amount?

Asking as a Michigander, did you learn that Ignorance from the Democrats Economics Course 101?

Florida is a backwater, trailer park full of ignorant white r****ts and religious fanatics surrounded on three sides by water that is lined by multimillion-dollar condos owned by rich immigrants. I noticed this as soon as I moved here in 2001. It is a pit of white squalor.

If you think Florida is such a pit to live in while in the hell are you still living here that’s just showing your ignorance?

I have heard this stupid argument before, show some of the results of your doubtless research (not just restating someone else's comments)

Buddy,
You live in Michigan. Why would I listen to anything you say?

Almost my exact words my friend.

Who but a fool would move somewhere, h**e the place, and yet stay right there whining and b***hing like a little girl, with the rest of America waiting for him to discover.

Why would anybody listen to you, from NY, when you most likely v**ed in Cuomo or maybe DiBlasio, two of the most corrupt Democrats in the state?

But you didn't answer the comment of, Yet you remain there. Do you really need all of 20 years to decide you are not a good fit? Seems like it, huh?

New York is 35.7% so why are you b***hing about Florida when we have a much older population which results in more Medicaid payments to the state. Besides you tax the hell out of your residents and have a much higher sales tax and a state income tax. Quite frankly your state sucks compared to Florida.

I think it's worse: after the money is spent, the poorly run cities will look just like they did before the money arrived.
