"Home again, home again, jiggety-jig". Nice shots.
Nice. I heard a flock of them honking overhead yesterday.
Here in NJ we seem to have them year round. I particularly like your shot of f the goose spreading her wings.

Some of them, at least have answered the question"are we there yet? Thanks for taking the time to look in and leave a positive vibe.

We have a small local population. There were fields full of them a couple of days ago. Thanks for looking in and for the positive vibe.
Nice images Ours, particularly like the spreading wings in 6 and the action shot out of the water in 7!
Very nice photography. I like our use of vignettes in some of these shots to put more focus on the bird.
Very nice set, George! They look happy to be home.

Thanks for looking in and taking the time to comment. I noticed that some of the geese were "flapping" out of the water where some people were feeding them (despite the "do not feed the birds" sign, sigh), so I just waited... didn't take long and I only took the single shot. I liked the result, though. The outspread wings came from the outcome of a similar event. Next time, I may use a slightly higher shutter speed, to completely freeze the outer feather movement, but I am quite happy with the result. Have a great day.

Thanks for looking in and for the positive comments. Since I got my latest camera, I have not been using vignettes very often. I know that some experts recommend always using a vignette to emulate the human eye's fall-off, but with modern post-processing and the quality of lenses these days, I like to see everything clearly from edge-to-edge. The rippling in the water suggested a vignette, so I applied one, and like you I liked the result. Thanks again - have a great day.
