1st pic is taken from a high hill (actually called Mt Vista) overlooking Washington State University-Vancouver campus and on out to Mt Hood in distance on right.
2nd and 3rd pics zoom in on Mt Hood.
4th pic, when you download it, shows parking lot lights below glowing like an alien landing strip.

I waited the sunrise for Mt Hood to be backlit by reflecting rays from the rising sun--sun actually rose to the left of the view. Didn't happen the way I was hoping. 3rd pic makes for a different mood view. Rain had been forecast so the bit of sunrise color we got was an unexpected but welcome delight.

These are all great in their different ways. In some of them I would tend to remove the foreground. All lovely renderings. Thanks for sharing.

Good stuff 1FTR. I lived in Portland 1983-84 and used to look at My Hood from Terwilliger Drive on the way to work in the mornings. Now I have 4 DSLR cameras; then I had a film Minolta and I did not use it much. I would love to go back to shoot there.

Nice images. Mt Hood looks like the Lonely Mountain from the Lord of the Rings.
