THANKS TO ALL UHHs. Completed a great trip.
PHOTO ops everywhere we went!
brow3904 - did the Cades Cove loop, saw a few black bears along with the great views, etc.
James56 - took your route from Knoxville to Asheville. WOW!

All - The wedding was outside @ Klaxton Farm - Rain & drizzle all morn, issued umbrellas as we crossed the field to be seated, drizzle as the groom, brides maids etc positioned THEN as the bride and father (my niece & brother) started across the field the rain stopped and a rainbow appeared on the mountain. Nuff said.

James56 we will definitely be back to Nashville!
We were @ Grand Ole Opry for the Loretta Lynn 50th show.
Great music on Honky Tonk row - Roberts was favorite. And as you noted, southern hospitality everywhere we went for the whole trip.

Asheville also great area - Blue Ridge Parkway, Chimney Rock & falls, artist areas.

I could go on, but. THANKS AGAIN ALL.

To bad about the outdoor wedding and the dizzle. Bet the bride wasn't to happy with that.

Following is the link to my original post with responses. Route I took was from James56 (see map) w/Cades Cove loop added. If I had the time (and next time) I would consider using the Blue Ridge Parkway from Cherokee to Asheville.
