You could try the Dehaze tool in the full Photoshop. You can find it in Adobe Camera Raw. In the future, compose the subject minus this distraction.

The other good suggestion is for the OP to post a photo with the problem to help determine how to fix it. The OP hasn't responded. The problem with more people telling him how to prevent it is that many people respond without reading the other responses first.
For sure. One thing that always annoys me is people ask questions, others take time to respond, and then nothing. Even a little "thanks everyone" at least acknowledges that he bothered to read the responses.
It's pretty hard to eliminate duplicate responses though. Often I've responded only to later see in the time it took me to respond, a bunch of people responded whilst I was typing. The other end is you might be responding to something on page 12, and there are 50 pages after that you didn't get around to reading yet. I guess that one is on you though, but really, after page 12 not too many are paying attention anyway.

I have often had the same thoughts. The lack of response from the OP is very annoying. Not to mention, disrespectful to those of us who take time to respond and offer help.

How about covering the source of the light you don't want? (Namely the window). Black plastic garbage bags and masking tape will provide a temporary solution.

I'd start with a hood. Next, I'd post and store an example JPEG to show the extent of the issue to be edited. Then, I'd ask for help on editing the example image with comments on how that change was made and which tool(s) was used.
Excellent reply Paul. Had a lot of fun with my R6 in Chi. Town. We are coming back in the month of June for a Cubs game, my Buddy is getting to the Photographers spot to shoot the game. But this time it will be Good Old Canadian Club. The Jeager still has me reeling from a couple of weeks ago.
