Glowing icicles

I was taking a walk yesterday when I noticed a small pile of dirty snow glowing orange. It had a hole melted through it and a single ray of the setting sun was lighting up the icicles hanging in the hole. The whole snow pile was maybe a foot tall by 2 feet wide. If I was a couple minutes earlier or later I never would have noticed it. After hitting almost 60 today it is definitely melted away.
