Buzzard next Door

While sitting on the back porch, a big shadow passes by. It is a buzzard in flight. By the time (quickly) I have my M50 with the 18-150mm lens in-hand, it has alighted on my neighbor's chimney. Attached are two photos.

Greatest! I understand that only Vultures may be found in N. America. Thanx for sharing.

Tim is correct, it's a Turkey Vulture. I call them buzzard, too, though. Nice set.

In other parts of the world buzzards are large hawklike raptors. In the US vultures are also sometimes called buzzards, especially turkey vultures.
