The first shot below was taken on 2/21/2021 at ~4:00PM in the afternoon. This shot was taken with a 500mm lens with a 2X teleconverter to give a 1000mm focal length with a circular polarizer to darken the sky. The image was shot as a 4K video and the individual video frames where stacked to reduce atmospheric turbulence. To stack the frames the .mov video was converter to a .ser file with the program PIPP (Planetary Imaging Preprocessor). The stacking was then done with Autostakkert and final sharpening was done with Registax6). (Note: These programs are all Freeware). The final image was cropped and converted to a Jpeg with PictureWindow.
The second image is a closeup of the crater Copernicus (Also visible in the first image) and taken on June 28, 2020 at night. The second image was made in a similar manner as the first but using a telescope with barlow lens to get an 8000mm focal length. All questions comments and suggestions are welcome.

Both excellent captures and rendering. Thanks for sharing. How many images did you stack in the first one?
Fantastic! Thanks for the run through the process and gear.

Hi Ourspolair
Thanks for checking out the images and for the comment.
The first image was a stack of around 900 frames (50% of the best frames from of 1 minute video at 30 frames/sec).

Hi joecichjr. Thanks for viewing the lunar shots, the thumbs up and the comment.
I think my best lunar shot is still the composite image of a first quarter moon using 4 sets of stacked images that can be viewed at:
