I have a question about this issue. I have a website that is a POD. I upload JPEGS for them to display and print. How long does that jpeg stay "good" if it is printed frequently? Does opening it to print from it degrade it?

The changes only happen when you re-write the jpg. Opening and printing does not change anything. When you close the jpg after printing, it’s the same jpg. No problem with multiple prints.
Particularly from a website. Downloading cannot change the files on the website. Someone would need access to the website code for that.
