Just got announcement. No details.

It won’t interest me because of price but might incite a Z7 2 GAS attack if its price drops.

Have and like Z6 but so far have shunned Z7 because I prefer low noise of Z6.

Yup, just received an email from Nikon. Haven't opened it yet. If it works the way it is suppose to via competition, it will be a good thing.

"An Unprecedented Imaging Experience" Sounds good to me. Shall we have a price-guessing contest? I say, $6,500.

About right. Thaz where Sony’s at. Thaz where the “big pro SLRs” are at. Be it a great value or not, it’s the going rate.

No details yet, but quite a bit of information if you follow the trail of breadcrumbs. Large form factor (built-in vertical grip), like the D6. New stacked CMOS sensor. New processor. So I'm guessing $6500-8000 price, since these cameras seem to carry a price premium over otherwise similar DSLR models. So not something I would need or want. Does leave the door open for the Z8 to be an interesting upgrade from the Z7/Z7II, though. So far I'm still OK where I am with D850/D810/D500.

My guess, 5,400. Hoping for <4,500. At 3k, I may have to try one.

Nikon has labeled it as their first mirrorless Flagship and all recent DSLR Flagships have been priced in that area, so that's my guess as well.

Yes, and if the Z9 is like any of the other recent Nikon releases, it will take at least 2 years before you can get one.
Maybe!

That sounds like the price point the market will bear. This is their new "flagship".
