I love the new CSS you are using for the site, but while you are at it could you please change the colour for the "read" topics? differentiating between the two blues that are currently in use is becoming problematic for me (and maybe some others on the site). Perhaps a bit more red in it would fix the issue, but right now it is tough to differentiate.
Thank you for your consideration and for the excellent work that you are doing.

Or he may want others to add to the message. Thanks Admin for handling a difficult job well.

Maybe (new topic) and (new posts) in red?

They may stand out more.

Right. I see black print on a yellow background. Easy to read. The thing I don't like about it is, if I want to copy and print, I use up a lot of yellow ink.

Attached is what I see. Background in alternating yellow, all titles in the same color (not 2 different blues). But ones I have opened have the "arrow".

Sometimes "print background" is selectable to not.
I never print backgrounds, for that reason.

Oh, that yellow. I thought you referring to a font color.

I didn't realize Admin had time to read the title of every post on every site he owns. He must get very little sleep.

I agree, the 2 shades of blue are hard to tell apart

Doesn't the shade of blue change for an individual once they read a thread? If so, and I could be wrong, up until you read a thread it says New Topic.

Phew... I was wondering where this thread was going! Glad that you agree. Especially in bright room light...

I think what the OP is talking about is the color of the topic titles, which are also the links to the postings. When unread, they are a brighter shade of blue than they are after the topic has been read. Like the OP, I've long felt that it's too difficult to discern read from unread.
