inPixio Eclipse HDR

Excited was I by inPixio HDR app - I was impressed by the example enhancements shown in the Ad blurb included in Photozine's email today, and a special offer to boot! The price was not shown, which is often the case these days - you don't see the price until you are about to press 'go to paypal' or 'enter debit card'. However, GB£39.99 seemed fair for what was on offer - and then I noticed, as I was about to press 'go', that what I was buying was a 1 year licence. I quickly aborted, and forgot any ideas of "instant HDR" which was the original attraction, and not needed that often.
There are several software companies that seemingly take photographers for suckers over these annual licences for editing apps, and i have now added inPixio to the list.

Subscription software is probably going to be the norm for most applications in the not to distant future.

Sad but true.
Affinity Photo remains a non-subscription option. And it does HDR well.
And it's currently half price, less than one year of inPixio.

Thanks David - yes - I do use Affinity - I am now wondering why I had not used Affinity HDR - thanks for the reminder - I shall get to it.

I just bought Affinity for 25.00 and it has the easiest HDR I have ever used. This is a very powerful post processing program and will do many things but in my opinion the HDR alone is worth the cost.

Yes - HDR has, until now, been something I have not explored in my Affinity app (have not done HDR)
I am so glad that, due to price structure, I did not proceed with purchasing inPixio HDR.
I shall now have fun following your recommendation - and stick with Affinity.
