Hello All,
Here are just a few of the over 400 photos I took at what is deemed the largest Radio Controlled Meet in the World. Not sure if it is, but it spans 3 full days of all sorts of RC planes complete with pyrotechnics. These are all in their original state. No cropping or PP. One funny note is the A-10 picture of the pilot and plane (last picture). He saw I was talking a picture of his plane and all of a sudden, the pilot turned his head toward me. He had a servo set up for it so "Posed" the pilot for me. I thought that was cool. Also, this year they had small opposing tanks etc. out in no man's land where they bombed them. Next year, they say these will have their own pyrotechnics shooting back at the bombers/fighters. Should be fun. Hope you like them all. Cheers.
To show you the size of some of these planes
Some even had smoke machines
This ME 262 was one of the most fun to watch fly
Look in the background to see the "Opposition"
Flak Bait dropping Bombs
Here are the results of the bombs dropped
A pair of Spitfires showing "Formation" flying
Look at the detail in this Pilot's gear
Here is the pilot that "Posed" for me! :-)
These are fantastic! Wish I had been there!

It was a lot of fun! I also went to the banquet and met Col. McGee, one of the Tuskegee Airmen. What a fantastic guy to talk to. 92 years young and still going strong. Cheers.
Absolutely brilliant, particularity like the aircraft dropping the bombs, most realistic. The Spitfires look almost real. Well taken and thank you for sharing.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting! That is one of the things that struck me as well. How these look so real while flying or on the ground. The jets were especially fun to watch because of their speed. one of the funniest moments was when they had the "Foamies" out there. These are inexpensive (comparably so) planes that are electric. They must have had over 30 of them flying at once and they had music playing that I have heard when watching a Keystone Cops video. Was really funny. Cheers.
Great pics. I would love to see them in person.

Neat shots..thank you for posting!!
Here in Brunswick a group of RC guys get together a couple of times a week in a huge abandoned farm field and fly all manner of "flying machines". I am a pilot (since 1976), an ex-owner (C-182 and C-210) and I am Commercial and IFR, and I have a fair number of hours logged. I salute these guys!! These RC pilots are fantastic with these things. Not to be compared to what you have seen at your fly-in as shown by your pics, but just a group of guys who love the sport, and get together to fly and talk flying. Some of the aerobatics, formation flying, and the mostly perfect landings are a joy to watch.
If you see someone doing this at a local park or etc, stop and watch - they will welcome your presence and also talk your ear off in the language of "fly-speak"
Thanks for your posting
WOW What a great series.
I wish I could have been there.
