So glad he made it! And thanks to your help. :-)

Thank you Cosmo. We are very glad as well.
He was here earlier today. I like to think he stops by "because" but the real because is he want to eat the birdies in the yard.

Thanks Sylvia.
I like that shot as well. Not the usual hawk stare.

Very nice set. The last photo looks like he's doing a penguin impersonation.

Thanks Lowkick. I was extreemly lucky to catch that look. My camera shoots a slow 3 frames per second. The image before was not that look nor was it there for the image after. Luck of the shutter click.

Happened to us on Thanksgiving. They see their reflection in the glass and attack it. We hung a stained glass design inside the window to break up the reflection. No more bird strikes.

Thanks 14photog.
I think it was on a seek and destroy dive for a bird on the feeder or in the yard. We often see the hawks dive across behind the house to ambush the feeder. This time he dove too low too soon.

This is the story of the Juvi Coopers Hawk that flew into out glass deck railing the afternoon of 2/22. I'll edit in links to chapters 1 & 2 after posting this final installment.

For a quick recap. When I gently picked the Hawk up from the deck I was sure he was dead. Spread eagle on his back, wet, limp, seemingly lifeless. After gently bringing it in the house his eye lid began to flutter. We wrapped him in a warm dry towel and within about 5 minutes he regained consciousness. Very shortly thereafter I set him on his feet on the patio.
