I want to change my website host to a simpler format. I'm not a wedding or portrait photographer so don't need the booking ability or album features, just want e-commerce and a blog. My yearly pricing at my current host is "grandfathered" in at $172, so I wouldn't want to go higher. Anyone have something similar to what Im requiring?
I use Squarespace for my wife’s art - it’s just display with no sales. Very easy to design. See:

Take a look at Go Daddy. I think you will be impressed.

Thanks, but their e-commerce would be $300 a year, more than I want to pay, lol!

I have been pleased with my recent switch from GoDaddy to Pixpa. E-commerce, blog, changes to image presentations, all very easy. Annual cost may be a little higher than your $172, but not much.
Take a look at pixieset.com. Start free, upgrade as needed.
I'll state the obvious, have you looked at SmugMug?

Thanks, I'll give it a look!!
I use Weebly for my own and for clients websites. GoDaddy was to difficult to work with, and too expensive. With Weebly, you can have free websites as long as you have Weebly in the URL. i.e.: facesoftheworld.weebly.com

This access does not seem to work for me, brings up a 404 error page
I'm in the process of getting mine up and running using Wix. So far, so good, and the price is not exhorbitant. I had a friend set it up for me ('cuz I feel much better creating content then doing THAT...) with the promise of a share in the venture. If you PM me I'll share it with you so you can see how it works, when it's done it'll be on my sig line along with the Smugmug site. ;0)

I've been using bluehost for years with few problems. For awhile email seemed to be compromised by a spammer subscribing to their service but that seems to have dissapeared.
My true geek frienda recommend panix.com but they may be too techie for you.
