Pelicans at the Bay

Migrating birds have patterns that are interesting. On last Thursday I found the Red Winged Blackbirds usually found in great numbers at Farmington Bay had moved to Bear River. When I got to Farmington Bay, the pelicans had arrived. I am not a pelican expert, but the attached photos show who attended the fly in.

Very nice shots Mike, they might have flown in in pairs, but they sure congregate in crowds - I like the "communal feeding frenzy" or whatever that was in the last image!

Actually, Joe, I cheated and cropped the pairs out of large formation shots. The feeding array worked very well. I saw (but could not catch) a few large carp caught by them.
