I recently got a used 10 stop Hoya at keh.com for a nice price. Looked new to me, no complaints on performance.

Breakthrough Photography screw in filters, out of San Francisco.

X4 series uses premium Schott glass. 25 year warranty. No color casts, truly neutral

I have their 6-stop ND filter. Very happy with it.

I have always used b&w/hoya filters. Now I'm in need of a larger size filter set for a new lens (77m). I've notice a few new company's in the market.
Who do you thinks produces the best ND filter today. I'm looking for 1 through 10 stops.
Thanks for your input

In addition to the B&W line, look at Breakthrough Photography (perhaps one of the "new" sources you mention) for screw-in ND filters. US company, highly neutral (re: color cast) NDs, 25-year product guarantee.

I've recently bought (used only once) an URTH ND filter. Saw some good reports & testimomials on them on a U.K. forum so took a punt.
Seems to be well made and no colour cast to me. A lot of bang for your buck. Take a look here.

https://uk.mygobe.com/ (there is a U.S. site but the link in the U.K. is half a mile long).

I’m looking myself for filters. I may go with Kase filters because there are magnetic where the adapter is on the lens.....

Check out Breakthrough Photography. Their filters produce less color cast than any other filter. PERIOD!

I second this. I have always been pleased with B+W filters.

I am with Orhphoto on this one, Breakthrough filters are not only of excellent quality but produce no color cast. I use one and I also use a Tiffin ND with a 3 stops factor that renders a slight warming cast that I like.
