Thank you for the nice comment. You should get one, especially if you're interested in wildlife/birds in flight. It's so easy to use because it is light weight and manoeuvrable and no tripod is needed to get shots like these. One of my earlier eagle shots was blown up to poster size by a friend and is hanging on his living room wall and it still very clear at that size even coming from the smaller sensor.

Thank you. Unfortunately, migrating eagle season is almost over now. They are there in numbers from December through February. There are a few mating pairs that nest around the lake year round but in the 3 mid winter months there are a lot more and they are mostly fishing below the dam on the Haw river.
After the eagles leave, large numbers of Osprey usually show up for the spring months, mid March through May and there are always cormorants, herons, and gulls around.
