Slitherin' on my belly like a reptile. And I've got the cactus spines to prove it, too.

Your effort paid off. The distant snow capped mountains provide an interesting unexpected contrast.

Beautiful shot. Well composed with foreground and distant mountains both in sharp focus. The foreground juniper perspective brought forward suggests to me that you used an ultra-wide? Thanks, I always enjoy your postings.

Your usual well composed, sharp picture. The spines and momentary discomfort were well worth it.

Thanks, BB. But no, this wasn't shot with an ultra-wide. Shot it (or them, technically; the image is the result of focus stacking 8 separate exposures) using the wide end of a (film-era) 28-105mm AF Sigma lens I've had for years, but only recently began using again. Finding I'm liking the lens a lot on either of my FF Nikon bodies.

Well that is another beautiful image. Don't tell me you took this in Arches NP ???? Sorry about the belly-full of pokey things. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
