Economical way to share these negatives and slide

Many of the older generation (I can say so, because I am 80) have film negatives and 35 MM slides. Our kids and grandkids are spread out, some in different states. For an economical way to share these negatives and slide, just use DIGITNOW! 135 Film Negative Scanner High Resolution Slide Viewer, Convert 35mm Film &Slide to Digital JPEG Save into SD Card, with Slide Mounts Feeder No Computer/Software Required. The cost of this machine is around $60.00.

Post some examples of your results!
There have been quite a few people asking about methods/devices to go from analog to digital lately.

These scans look a bit soft to my eyes. We’re the originals that soft or is it the product of the scanner?

The cheapo scanners are not scanners. They are 5 MP copy cameras in a box with some lights for both slides/negative or prints. But the are OK for casual sharing.

Bottom line: for quality true scans there ain't no free lunch. Having it done cost a lot of money and doing it yourself requires a better ($$) scanner AND a lot of time.

Those are your choices. (Of course you could have a few prints made.)

Thanks for the input. A friend of mine lives in Southern California, has a lot of film negatives and slides. His four children lives in Hawaii, Northern California and in other locations in Southern California. I scanned over 900 of his material, so that he can share with children and grand kids.

That's extremely kind of you to do all that work! I'm sure the families will enjoy them.

I am currently "scanning" about 1000 photos to convert from film to digital. I put "scanning" in quotes because I am using Kodak's Slide N Scan and it isn't a true scanner. It is a 14/22mp camera. The 22mp setting will be the same as zooming into the 14mp copy but is there just to advertise that it will do scans bigger than some one else's "scanner". Sorry, but I don't have any uploads for you but I'll say this:
It's slow... about 6 hours to do about 500 photos and they turn out a bit softer that the original print Is is OK for me as it is a labour of love (old family photos to share with old family members) and it sure has been fun (first time that I have seen at lot of them in 40 years.

Two click fix, so the softness isn't too much of an issue. If they all come out soft, batch processing should work.
