Loc: Easton, PA but will travel for photos
I'm going to visit a friend of mine who lives in Tulsa Oklahoma at the end of April. Does anyone know of any where in that general area (or within a couple of hours) that we could go and see wildlife to photograph? I'm mostly interested in wildlife but landscape would work too. It would have to be somewhere we could drive through or not involve a lot of hiking. Thanks for your help!
Far southeast Oklahoma is home to the Kiamichi Mountains, quite scenic but maybe too far away for your time. East toward Siloam Springs AR brings you into some pretty country as well. Northwest gets you into open prairie, if that is your choice. They call northeast Oklahoma "Green Country" and during the spring it lives up to the name. You will find Tulsans open and friendly; enjoy your visit.
When I'm out roaming, local Audubon groups often are an excellent resource to investigate.

Tall grass preserve north of Pawhuska has 🦬. Can drive and short walking trail for birds.
Far corner of the state and more than a couple of hours you find Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge west of Lawton. There are bison, longhorns and many other species. No much compared to other mountains, but we taught in that they are the roots from some of the oldest mountains in the world. There is also Ft. Sill next to Lawton with several good museums. I grew up in Lawton and spent many hours in the mountains.

As someone else mentioned, the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve is a great place to find bison, birds, deer, and interesting prairie landscapes (especially sunsets).
Another option is Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve which is outside Bartlesville an hour or so from Tulsa. You’ll find bison, several varieties of deer, Scotch Highland cattle, Longhorns, Zebu, Tahr goats, and possibly elk. The elk are more visible during winter months, but may still be out in April. There’s also a fantastic western art collection that is one of the best in the nation.

Thanks everyone! I will definitely try these places.
Wool rock, tall grass prairie, for eagles, below Grand lake (Pensacola dam), Oxley nature center, Bartlesville avion center. Go on Facebook and go to the Oklahoma nature photography pages and look at some of their photos. They often tell where they took their shots.
Recently viewed several museums in Lawton area. Best was Artillery Museum at Fort Sill with second place a tie between Fort Sill History Museum & the local County Museum. I spent several hours in Artillery Museum & could have spent more but wanted to catch some of other museums. Artillery Museum had several centuries of artillery history with some of early items depicted in photo's or drawings. Lots of things for last 2 centuries were available to see in real exhibits. One of the best museums about war equipment, development & use.
