Well I made it back and I’ve made it through 19 pages of comments and images, all nicely shared. Thanks all. It’s sure nice to have a modern kitchen. I remember the kitchen in coon holler in my childhood. It had a pump at the sink that had to be primed from the drinking bucket with the drinking dipper. Didn’t take mom long to convince dad to install a pump that used electricity to fill a surge tank in the smoke house. Of course we had moved from Palo Alto, CA so she was kind of use to that convenience of running water throughout the house, but dad stopped there and didn’t plumb the outhouse 🙄🤭❗️ Nor the chamber pots for winter use🤭🤭😳🥴‼️

Okay, had to fetch one last shot for this challenge.

I'm afraid that is so cute, I wouldn't be able to eat it. Maybe.

I made Sumac chicken thighs for supper tonight. Served on flatbread. It was a new recipe for me.

Beautiful shot How was the sumac part of it One of my MEastern students gave me a sealed package of sumac for cooking about five years ago. Never used it. Some of my Polish students gave me a bag of pine nuts, which taste just like Glade air freshener. And pudding, made by a novice cook - with way too much saffron added - tastes just like hand soap. Exactly.

Thanks for your comments, Joe. I really liked it and will make it again. If your spice is 5 years old, it probably is not good anymore.

Well, folks, thanks for all the wonderful posts. Good night from my kitchen to yours. Nothing fancy to sign off with, but #1 is for Kaskazi. It says Nigeria (and I know Ron isn't from Nigeria, but...) and is a towel I bought on our one trip to the Salt Museum in England years ago. The other 2 are abstracts I found on my counter. I'm coming Sakiston Sally to "Ceilings" but not tonight....

Nothing like falling asleep with the memory of beautiful images on your mind...
