LR6 to LRCC Upgrade

Been using LR6 forever. Thinking of upgrading to the Adobe Photographers pkg of LRCC + PS. Question I have is
will my catalogs / files automatically transfer to the new LRCC? Any other issues I should be concerned about? Thanks in advance for your input. Stay well and safe.

FWIW, I made the switch from LR6 to LR Classic a couple of months ago. It was completely routine. The new catalog was created automatically, and everything was where I expected it to be when I opened the new LR. All except for one preset that I had created in LR6 and for which I cannot find an equivalent in LR Classic.

Note wrangler5's comment and emphasis on LR classic. Most every week we find some Adobe subscriber lost with the browser-based LRCC that is more of an LR 'lite' when compared to their tried and true and familiar and full-power LR classic.

Your old catalogs will be updated and given a new name.
Catalogs are not backward compatible so your new catalog will not work in LR6. However, your old catalogs will still be there for you.
