Here it is again, itโ€™s Free Sunday. Come and share any of your left overs from last week or any new shots youโ€™re really pleased with. Weโ€™re all of a nature to enjoy your successes whether the be as captured or worked and tweaked in post processing. I especially like when you share a little thing you may have learned in your post processing activities.
Coming out of the South end of Yellowstone NP on our way to Jackson Hole, WY we were awed by the grandeur of the Grand Teton range. Dee just told me Plessner had posted on face book that the Teton NP is celebrating an anniversary day this past week. Makes this post even more special to me.

Let's say that it was cold yesterday morning, below zero as you will see in the first one, but there is more. As you know I enjoy photos with a story and here is a whopper...

The St-Lawrence River at this point is about as narrow as it gets, sort of like a funnel and as the tides change, especially with a full moon when the tides are higher, can be 14' + sometimes, on the south side the currents are falling and seen very well by the floating ice BUT on the north side there is a rising current so the ice is running up river. It is an amazing view and strangely known only by us river people. It is too hard of a shoot for me to do in low light but I am sure a bunch of you would really enjoy the trip

So glad you had such a wonderful time, Larry. I've always wanted to go there and at least I can say I had a virtual trip. It's been a snowy, rainy weird week but I have a couple.

Our snow is all gone, even played a little tennis Thur. night.
Like you flakes. Was that done with your extension tubes?

I had to go to one of the bird sites to find out what type this is. It is a loggerhead Shriek . The bird catches its prey, then impales it on a thorn or stick and even barbed wire, Then comes back later and eats it when it is hungry. Mother nature can be strange for sure

Thatโ€™s a nice shot, bdk.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

These hardy little guys don't let the snow bother them. I sit in a hot winter kitchen and look out my side door to enjoy this guy and his frolicking little buddies who could care less. I take pride in somehow surviving another Colorado blizzard, they see it as just another excuse for a lively party!

I like it, whatisit rondmalletโ“
