Just shot a swim meet with my new R5 mirrorless. I'm pretty impressed with the low noise and auto focus performance. These images were shot Medium-Small Jpeg to hold file size to 2.5-3 megabytes. No post processing with the exception on 9094 which was lightened it up slightly. All frames shot 1/400-1/500 @2.8 ISO 5000 with EF 70-200 2.8 L IS USM lens with EF-R adapter.
The downloads show off the sharpness.
Enjoy your new toy. I am impressed. I just got the R6 and really thought hard about getting the R5. Wanted to Night photos and all I read said R6 would be better for that.

The downloads showed the sharpness. And they are sharp.
Great series...They are sharp. Love #6!
Excellent captures. The lens/camera/photographer combo is doing well.

Fun stuff. I have a grand daughter who is a swimmer who I have wanted to photograph, but Covid has kept me away. Just my opinion however, I would like to see some images at a higher shutter speed. 1/400 and 1//500 is just not fast enough to freeze the action.
