Blink Test

When comparing images, it is sometimes difficult to see small differences in large images. The Blink Test allows one to switch back and forth rapidly between images and study small sections of the image. It is possible to do a Blink Test in Photoshop.

I have not tried this in any other layer-enabled software.

I don't have Photo Shop.
If I would ever have that need, I just put each image in its own window and switch windows.

The problem with that approach is aligning the two images in different windows if you need to look at a small area.

The key is making two images into an animated GIF. I'm sure that can be done in programs other than Photoshop but I haven't tried it yet.

I know I can make animated GIFs with my old Photo Impact Pro module, but I have no idea how large the images it can handle. Haven't used it in years. I bought the program YEARS ago for a thing I was doing for one website I built. Needed an animated GIF.

That is pretty cool. I had no idea those tools were in Photoshop. I guess I usually would alt click to isolate one layer then repeatedly click the comparison layer on and off. As for side by side I know Photoshop will sync to a duplicate but will it sync to a separate file?
