Finally got out the bellows... (where did the Macro section go?)

So, having some ageing roses lying around and ready for the compost and having a serviceable diffuser, I decided to bite the bullet and take the bellows out for a stretch...
D5500, AF-S Nikkor 50mm for the first ones, otherwise 75-300mm Zoom-Nikkor mounted on the bellows, off-camera flash with wireless trigger perched on a white plastic diffuser. Bellows mounted on (completely inadequate) tripod, but I have another one in storage.
I tried to do some focus-stacking, but was not impressed with the result. I can probably blame that on the tripod
The subject is a rose bud.
I did not calculate the magnification factor, shall have to get a millimetric rule for future use of the bellows.
I had a 12mm extension tube on the camera (to clear the back of the PB4 bellows, and the ES-2 on the front of the bellows.
The D5500 was in "Live View" mode, aperture adjusted manually, along with the bellows and focusing.
70-200 was mostly being used around 105-135mm focal length.
Both lenses stepped down to between ƒ11 and ƒ16.
Thanks for looking - please feel free to comment

Thanks for the encouragement, Bob. I have a country mile to go before I get where I want to be, though!

You're welcome. Consider your country mile to be a pleasant journey with some pleasant surprises involved.

Yes, Nice! I especially like #6. Oh, I also lack the True Macro Forum (for two forum posts) but, on checking, I DO have that forum registered, both times both in my profile list and in the All Sections list, but still not showing. Were there just no submissions?

If you are referring to the emailed Daily Digest, sections don't show unless there was a new topic posted the previous day. Also you must be logged in to see your chosen specialty sections, such as Macro, in the digest. Far easier to learn to use "Newest Topics" at the top of any UHH page. You will have real-time results, not "yesterday's news."

You can subscribe - or unsubscribe - to any UHH section, by going directly to the bottom of any page (no need to go via the "home" link) and click on "all sections." Your choices will then be reflected in "newest topics" at the top of any UHH page.

Thank you for looking in and for your comments. I consider this high praise, since your super close-up and macro/micro photography are of the highest order, and actually inspired me to buy the bellows.
I shall strive to get better at the focus stacking.
Thanks again.
