Thanks Paul, He was wandering around in Busse woods near Golf (58) and Rt. 53... I am sure you probably know where that is... I always appreciate your work in the Chicago area... I am sure some day we will cross paths... I am currently watching the eagle nest visible from rt 90 over by our Meijer store across from continental towers... I shoot from their parking lot across the highway into the woods... Currently an eagle sitting on the nest.. 5th year in a row... Nice and close to home...

You're a bit beyond the edge of my world. I don't get west of Western much anymore.

They can be at times... I have had to put a few down that I am sure had rabies... Staggering around foaming at the mouth... but for the most part as long as they leave my garden and garbage alone they are ok...

Thanks for the comment

They pretty much avoid my lot and go on by on the "Fenceway". Something about my little "mighty hunter" (Irish Shorty Jack Russell miniature Dachshund mix) killing some when she was not even full grown yet. Heard thuds on the side of the house one night and went out. A full grown one was curled up in defensive mode and Tara was picking it up, shaking and letting go so it either bounced off the side of the house or the fence. I pushed it under the gate to the front yard with a broom and it took almost 5 minutes before it believed it was safe and uncurled to stagger off. That and three half grown ones found dead in the yard ended them coming into the yard.
