Can Woodchucks....
climb trees? Yep. Caught this one doing so while kayaking along the lake. Thought it was a porcupine at first, but it was climbing way too fast. Got up to a fork in the tree and just sat there. Fujicolor XP-80.

I shot pool with a guy that was a big time hunter. One night he came in all excited because he saw a ground hog up in a tree. We all thought he was nutz, but he insisted... You got the proof. Good work.

Holy moo-cow. At first glance, I thought it was a bear cub up there. Great shot!
Great catch, I was told they could, wasn't sure 'till now

As the old saying goes... "How much wood could a Wood chuck chuck if a Wood Chuck could chuck wood??
Something new to me. Nice capture.

They are very good climbers, I have seen many sitting on top of fence post and quite often whistling.
Great shot that proves a point as well.
Nice. I would not have believed it without the evidence...
One year my son gave me a birthday with a woodchuck on the front and these words:
"Oh, yeah?
Well, my dad would chuck more wood than your dad would chuck.
Even if your dad could chuck wood. Which I doubt!"
That was over 29 years ago an I still have the card on my desk.

I have witnessed one climb an apple tree many years ago and a Fox as well. Animals like the fruit trees when they're ripe.
